I've had them in other cars, and they are sweet.

I have never heard a RAM with type s, but if i were you i would buy a fox acoustic box and get type r's. Fox acoustic box's are pretty much built for the type R, and type R's are better that type S's. The only thing is that type R's cost more and they need a bigger amp which will also cost more. So if your willing to cough up about $600 for two type R's, a Fox acoustic box, and a bigger amp (I suggest the Kenwood KAC-9104D, because it pushes 900 watts RMS @ 2 ohms and only cost $190 @ onlinecarstereo.com.)than go with the type R's, but if your working with a bugget then type S's will work good too.

I replaced all my stock speakers with type s, and it sounds decent. If you are doing that you may want to consider an amp though

I have the 6x9 type S for the front speakers and they sound really good. I also replaced the stock back door5 1/4 speakers for Type s Alpines but blew those the 1st day so I replaced themfor Type R 6 1/2s and so far they've been handling the 450watt Vpower Alpine amp.
