electric fans?

Default electric fans?

want to switch over to elctric fans but i don't want to pay the 500 some odd dollars for the kit from flexolite, so what are my options?

I was thinking the same thing. I've done a little looking around,although I'm not quite done looking yet.As of now, I'm leaning torwardsFLEX-A-LITE 180 X-TREME - UNIVERSAL FIT from AirRam. The url is http://airram.com/product.php?catego...p;productid=18.

Maybe someone else could chime in if they had any experience with it.

The 180 Extreme is a great fan. You should be able to find it for $250-275 all over the 'net. Also a very easy install (once you get the damn stock fan out).
This mod will actually free up close to 20 HP that the stock fan pulls from the engine. Also will net you a mpg or two...

same fan on my 5.9. works good. 250$ from moesperformance. and hammer is right again,stock fan sucks getting off.
