swicthing engines
hey im new to this so sry if i make any mistakes or if im doing this wrong but anyways i have a dodge ram 1500 4x4 with a 4.7L and i want a 5.7L hemi in it and i have found 1 but it goesto a 05 durango and the engine is good with 60k miles on it but it doesnt come with ac or alt is that a problem? and will it fit my truck? thanks
sure, there are plenty of rams with hemis and it's the same motor so it should fit. but you would be much better off just trading the truck for a hemi truck. or if you are doing it just for performance, you're better off just making mods to the 4.7. it really is a peppy motor for it's size, and can be brought close to stock hemi levels with a few modifications.
KRC Performance does a lot with 4.7s and has a lot of products for optimum performance. Everything from CAIs to Headers to Blowers, Cams & Ported Heads. You may want to start with taking a peek at some of the things they offer...

I have an 05 qc 4.7 and mine has done me right since day one ,but i service it every 5,000 miles front to back and the only mods i have done is k&n filter and flowmaster 50 series muffler. It sounds good but not so loud as to draw attention from the popo{police}.
