I can't post more than a short sentence. will it ever get fixed?

 

Meh...there are other boards. I suppose if enough people get annoyed and stop coming by as often, things could change.
Or you could just tough it out and hope for the best.

Ya it sucks. I hope the moderators are letting the forum admins know about this. I see lots of posts from people complaining but I've never seen a post from a moderator or admin about looking into the issue.

I think the problem is related to the forum trying its best to prevent spam.

The best advice I've got is to write a little bit, click preview and if it shows keep typing. If the preview doesn't work then the post wont work. Try changing some words or remove one word at a time till the preview works. Sucks but it works.

It's funny how your not allowed to post the names of other boards and folks have to resort to spacing out the words to get through the filter.
Either way the bugs should have been worked out by now.

 

 

I can assure you that admins have applied all the pressure they could to the "powers" of the board. It is a common discussion amoung all mods and admins and everything gets passed along.

They are close. It has taken such a long time as they are moving to a entirely new program. They have been testingto assure everyting comes over.... posts, users, settings, sigs, galleries, tech info, ect.

All I can say is trust me, it is almost here.

The problem is SQL itself, not the forum. The SQL server was attacked and the problem is not correctable. They have been trying to manage it until they can switch to vBulletin. This company has 400+ forums. You think they arent concerned?

You try moving that many posts and so forth..
