Default OEM radio display question

A work truck I used to drive was a 2003 3500 SLT. The radio displayed the station as well as the artist and song title being played. I bought an 04 2500 SLT and looks to be the identical radio, but does not have that display. I have not been able to find any information on this feature. Does anyone have any information on this topic?

If you have the plain-Jane head unit, it won't. You have to get a RDS head unit, which usually is the 6-disc MP3 model.

I got the RAH code (factory aftermarket) head unit that plays mp3 cd's, it has RDS.

You probably have the model REF stereo. Look for tiny letters stating the model near the volume control. The model RAQ will display information, the REF will not. Another choice would be the REC navigation stereo.
