hey guys i have a 02 dodge 1500 crew cab and i was wondering about the speed limiter can i take it off my self is it a sensor or a computer thing. i assume if its a computer thing i have to pay someone on the side or a dealer to do it right? if you can help me out that would be great. the engine is a 5.9 magnum. also if its a sensor i would need the location of it!!

 

It's a PCM (computer) thing. A good programmer will let you take it up. The Superchips Flashpaq 3815 now supports the 5.9 and has some good advantages. The performance option will advance the timing a good bit which should increase your gas mileage as well as giving you an extra 46.9 HP and 59.4 ft. lbs. of torque...
