New Dodge Owner few ?'s
Hey Guys just bought an 04 Quad Hemi Laramie and really like the Truck, Had a 98 Ram Conversion Van prior to with the 5.9 this one is really sweet, I have a few questions
The truck has 62k miles it has straight pipes all the way back no cats no crossover pipe should one be installed?
I think it may have a tune on it can that be erased and purchase a tuner to use?
Cold air Kit?
I am trying to figure a good course of a tune up, plugs (champ copper), any particular wires, should the coil packs be replaced?, amsoil in the rear, I want to drain the trans and replace filter and fluid any particular fluid should be used? Should the brake fluid be flushed, radiator flushed.
Any other suggestions? I appreciate the replys.

I've been doing my own exhausts since I was a teen and had a '73 Nova SS. I've always used an "H" or "Y" pipe somewhere in there, but that's just me and the way I was taught. I currently have LT headers going through the two stock cats (moved back about 18") and a "Y" just before the Flowmaster 50HD (1 in/2 out) then back to dual 18" stainless tips. Many people run true dual however and swear by it.
The only way I know of to return the PCM to stock without the tuner that was used on it is to take it to the dealer, they can (and routinely do) flash it back to stock. Once it's stock, you can use the tuner of your choice on it.
CAI's are really a matter of personal choice, you'll get as many different opinions on them here as their are brands on the market. You'll see minimal gains from it, however, as you add other mods (cat back, headers, tuner, etc.) it will play a more significant role.
Champ coppers are the way to go, the Hemi seems to not like the higher end plugs anyway and any good aftermarket wire set will be an improvement.
When I buy a used vehicle (I just picked up an '02 Grand Cherokee Overland to use as my daily driver about a year ago), I change ALL the fluids just as a precaution and am a strong believer in a true synthetic everywhere. My personal preference is Royal Purple but Amsoil is great too, just a little PIA to get readily.
My normal MO is to use a 50/50 blend in the crankcase to kinda ease a used engine into synthetics and a change at 3000 miles, then I use the RP and extend the change interval. There is no documented need to do this, just what I do.
I think that should about cover it. Just my opinions, take 'em for what they're worth...

Thank you for the reply, thats how I think and at least by doing everything now I know the baseline for further maintence, I did not get a manual for the truck is there some place on the web where I can get fluid capacities? That is why I asked I have always had some sort of balance pipe in the exhaust not sure why they didnt do that. Also just so I dont have to search around where is the computer at? Thanks again

PCM is located on the fire wall, behind the air filter. You can't miss it, there are four huge plugs with a bunch of wires in each, labeled C1-C4...
You access it through the port under the dash about where your left knee is while driving...
