Default Drilled Wrong hole! help!

I posted a thread a few weeks ago on my rear mopar mud flaps. They were ok because the rears already had 3 existing holes. I attempted to do the fronts today ...I thought I had it lined up right but the hole through the metal when just slightly passed the plastic wheel well liner behind it. Will this affect anything if I just screw it into the metal?

Thanks

I think it'll hold fine, but a word of advice. If you decide to do clearance lights on your cab roof sometime, maybe it might be better if you paid to have someone install them...

Hammer, too funny. Just make sure you put some coating on your holes so they don't rust out.

Couple coats of touch-up paint, then maybe a smear of silicone sealer (both sides of the panel).
