I live near Hartford, CT. I checked out a couple new. The only good thing they offered was 0% interest. They said automatically you get $5500 off sticker and that was basically it although I didn't talk to them much about them and only went to one dealer.

If you get the 0% interest, they won't give you some of the other discounts. When I bought mine in May (the day before the 2.99 gas thing came out), they were offering $7500 in rebates before I even started haggling. The extra $2k was a Dodge Loyalty rebate. I'm sure the dealer was just being typical and saying that those are the only discounts, but with gas prices so high, the trucks are sitting on their lots. You have a lot of room to work with. Don't be afraid to give them a really low offer and walk if they don't take it. Plenty of other dealers are out there.

Yeah this is a pretty big dealer in central CT and they had at least 15 brand new ones just in the front of the building. I am going to look at a couple more places tomorrow see what I can find. One of their speeches was that I'm saving 15K plus because of the 0%.

In Milford theres one for $12.8k with 30,000 miles

http://www.autotrader.com/dealers/dd...=&cardist=5349

I was recently looking for a buddy of mine, he found one for $11k with 22,000 miles, the dealers can't wait to get rid of trucks right now with the fuel prices. Just shop around it might be worth a drive across the state to get a deal.

Yeah I have no problem driving a couple hours for the right price. I saw a bunch at a dealer in Mass for under 14K so I think I'm gonna check that place out.

Wow they are basically taking 9 grand right off the top of all them at the very least. Also, they had a fully loaded laramie for about a grand more then what these dealers want for one that barely has anything.

My Hemi is for sale, but before letting it go for anything less that 14.5K I will keep it for snow days Just glad that I "do not have to" sell it. Truck market sucks right now.

Most 08s will go cheap from this point on. With the new 09s coming they have no choice. For someone to buy a older design (including body, suspension, interior and 45HP) they have to give BIG discounts.

Edit, I just realized, it is still in my sig all the way in the back

Friday is big day in local paper for deals. It's the day the paper has a dedicated "Auto" section. Dealer ads, classifieds, stories about the latest hybrid, bs story where they usually feature one of the local dealers, usually some crap about Joe Shmoe who is the salesman at XYZ Motors who coaches wheelchair basketball, etc, etc, etc.
Anyway here are a couple from the dealer ads (too lazy to go through the classifieds, I like to look through the pictures) These are only Dodge 1500's to give you an idea what you should be able to find.

'06 V6 4x2 34k miles no cab type given $ 5495

'05 Hemi, 17k miles, 3" body lift, oversize tires no cab type given $ 8995
(doesn't say 4x4 or 4x2, you'd think lifted it may be a 4x4, but at that price with just 17k I'm inclined to think it'd have to be a 4x2)

Different Dealer:
'06 QC V8 4x2, loaded w/leather, very low miles $ 9995
'04 QC V8 4x4 SLT, loaded, low miles $11,995
'05 QC Hemi V8 4x4 Loaded, Laramie, Leather $12,995
'07 QC 20" Wheels, 30k, loaded $17,995

There were more but that should give you enough of an idea... I'm actually thinking of calling that 1st dealer and seeing if that lifted '05 is a 4x4, if it is, I may be owning a 2nd Hemi pickup!!!
