Default Light Rear End

Whenever I drive down a gravel road that is washboarded or even hit a couple bumps in the road the rear end bounces out to the side worse than any truck I've had before my Dodge. Is the rear end real light on Dodges and will an anti-sway bar help?

How bad are we talking? And what tires do you have on it? I have the stockers still on mine and it can get a little squirly if I gas it, but not just coasting down a gravel hill. Also is it 4x4?

A sway bar may help, but only in the recovery. How 'bout the pressure in the rear tires, is it kinda high?

i got the same issue. its not bad when its on gravel. it's when you're going faster than above 35 or so, and hit a pothole that's only on the right or left side, or worse when you hit 2 or three real quick. tires are stocks on 20"s, kept at about 32-25. recovery isn't an issue either, i jsut wish it wouldn't jump over.

The rear end on mine feels light also. Lighter than any other truck I have owned (both Ford and Chevy). I notice it on parking lot speed humps the most.

Mine did the same when ever I hit a small bump in the roads. The bad part there is a spot here on the highway just up the road that is in a curve. When I hit it the truck jumps over a little. Soooo I removed the overload spring and the jumps had gone. The rears are just way to stiff in my opinion.

Sand bags in the bed, over the rear axle... That's the only thing you can do... Back end is really light so we can throw more weight in the bed...
