Question Question: Lowering 2008 Ram 1500

Hello,

I'm new to the dodge family and its been great so far. I just bought a new 08 Dodge Quad Cab 1500 2wd with the Hemi. I'd like to lower the rear 1.5"-2" with lowering shackles but everything I've found (like Belltech) doesnt show the shackles to fit up to the 2008. Does anybody have any experience installing lowering shackles to an 2008 Ram? Will the lower shackles kit for pre-2008 Dodge Ram pickups work?

Thanks Guys,

Jesse

Oh my, Now you've done it. Lowering trucks doesn't go over too well around this crowd. I lowered my '02 using DJM kit. Next time I'm going with an Air Ride system to retain the towing capacity. Have you looked at an air bag system?

I'm not trying to slam it to the ground, I just like the look of a 2wd that sits nice and level, nothing abrupt. I pull a boat every now and then so I dont want to give up towing capacity. I just want to lower it 1-2" max.
