Unhappy Transmission Slippage

I have a 2006 MegaCab 5.7 4X4 and for the past couple of months I have been noticing that sometimes when I take off from a Red light or stop sign ETC. that it feels like my tranny is slipping and kinda jerking and then it quits, well a couple of weeks ago I was leaving work I got in the truck started it up and put it into drive and it didn't want to move I gaave it a little more gas and she finally moved, so I put in to park killed it and tried it again same thing so I went ahead and pulled out the parking lot hoping that maybe it was just cold. Well it did not start to pull good until a mile or so down the road and the check engine light was on so I pulled over and checked all the fluid and everything was fine so I went on home. I had no choice but to drive it since I was a couple hundred miles from home.

I am afraid that if I bring it to the dealer and it is not doing it right then they will do nothing about it and I will just have to wait for it to tear up.

If the check engine light was on, the trouble code that caused it should still be stored in the computer. You can get an inexpensive ODBII reader to see what it is or just be sure to mention it when you take it to the dealership.

Why would you be afraid to take it to the dealer if its under warranty? You should be afraid if you wait till its out of warranty and the dealer gives you a $1500 tranny bill.

I just know how they are at the dealerships if it aint doing it when you bring it in they pretty much could care less, they might drive it around the block and tell you it seems fine to them and if it does it again to bring it back in.

No doubt I'm bringing in to have it looked at.
