I drive about 50 total miles round trip highway to/from work every weekday. The problem will occasionally come up when downshifting to pass or just opening up in 6th. Pretty much only happens at 3/4 throttle-full. I'll try to get it to a dealer soon....just gonna be a while before I can.

 

Try putting the stock intake back on before taking it to the dealer. If it still does it that's ok, leave the stock intake on when you take it to them.

 

Dazed, I'm thinking right along with you there. Was planing on putting the stock intake this week when I get back to my place. I'm hoping it didn't cause any probs. I'm sure, though, that any problem found would be blamed on that intake. If this eliminates the problem, I'm wondering what about the intake would cause it...I've had this homemade unit on there since the week I bought the truck. Only problem is a LOUD drone from the intake in the cab.

This is the first year the 4.7 has the drive by wire correct? Anybody else have an aftermarket/homemade intake on an '08 4.7?
