Id say set up your truck just like hammers, get the rancho 4" lift with 35's. Truefully 4"s is perfect, you get any more farhter offroading with a 6" lift than you would with a 6". Rancho makes the lift and it gives the truck a more rugged look without being too high were the wheels and tires look way too small. Whats the point of raising it 9"s anyway. You know you'll see all that IFS crap with a over all 9" lift. Theres are 1500 like that by my house and it just looks jimmy rigged.

I was gonna suggest a 4" lift & 35's but figured he was dead set on 9" that 6" was a compromise. That's the hardest thing I have getting people to understand, you have EXACTLY the same ground clearance with a 4" lift & 35's as 6" and 35's, or 9" & 35's for that matter. It's the lift that gives you the room to clear the tires, but it's the tire height that dictates ground clearance.
Personally I love the 35's on a 4" lift, but some people REALLY want to see that huge open tire well, which is ok too, but I feel much more in control on the trails or around the farm with my center of gravity 2" lower...
