Default 07/08 Ram Body lift...

So wanting to lift my new 08 Ram SLT QC 4x4truck a tad... nothing insane as I'm quite the city boy lol I was thinking of going with a 3" Body lift (yes I'll get gap guards), but I want to try and find pics of a vehicle like mine with it done. Suprisingly enough, harder than it sounds....

Also, does anyone have any idea about warranty issues once it's installed? Thanks so much all!

I'd level it first, will give you up to 2.5" of lift in the front, close to what you want. Cheaper & easier than a body lift, plus a body lift is a 3" uniform lift, so you'll still have the ugly 3rd gen rake (nose down look). So most do the level & body lift.
Do the level, if it's still not high enough for your liking, then add the body lift...

I think I can manage the idea of the level and then deciding on the body lift. As a matter of fact, I'm heading out tomorrow to get one ordered!

I was a little bit on the confused side with the body lift, as I checked with three places here in Calgary and one of them I called twice to talk to two different people. Safe to say out of four people that I talked to, two of them said that body lifts are "way more complex than most would chose to believe" and that there are even safety issues associated to them ie: Body break away from the frame in collisions... :S I know alot of people have done them do here's where I get confused. Most say they are easy to do: Floor jacks, jack stands, and "moderate mechanical skill". Then two out of three places say they'll need my truck for two solid days!!! ...and they do these all of the time!

Anyways, I checked with my dealer and received little to no feedback from the Service Manager regarding warranty... probably to avoid any commitment on the part of Chrysler to pay out down the road should anything go wrong... The only thing in my mind that may be an issue is the steering as it needs to be extended and therefore altered... right? Would that extension kill any/all warranty there do you think? Second... what about my shifter? I have an Automatic, but... I haven't been able to find anything regarding the shifter in an auto as being part of the body lift kit.

Next question is tire related. I REALLY believe that Dodge hit it bang on finally with the five-spoke polished wheels in the last couple of years. I saw a pic of an '07 Ram with a body lift, with what looked to be 35" tires on the stock wheels. Even with the body lift, you'd most likely still need spacers to clear them wouldn't you?

Thanks for your patience! I don't wanna screw the pooch on any of this so any advice is good advice!
