i have a 08 2500 and i hooked up a panasonic flip up dvd player into it and it wouldnt power up. then i tried a new avic z1, but i looks like its not getting power also. does anyone have any ideas of what could be the problem?

 

There is a canbus bypass that needs to be done on the '06's and up. I don't know the specifics as I had my stereo installed at Circuit City, but radios for the newer trucks are not just plug and play. I think Circuit City charged me $20 for the needed wiring. You will have to do a search or maybe someone will chime that has done it themselves.
