You people should check out the Indusrial/HD version of the Filter-Mag for your trucks. I am a VERY skeptical person, but figured for $72 shipped to my house, what the heck. I was dumbfounded when I cut open the filter. I changed oil at 500,1000,1500miles but not the filter as It was not a PH16 like all our other dodge trucks. Went to dealer and bought 4 mopar filters and changed oil & filter @ 3000mi. The Filter-Mag was put on by me at the dealer when I picked up the truck. The inside of the metal filter and the same area of the filter media had all this real fine silvery metal stuck to it where the magnets were and none on the other half of metal shell or filter media. Incredible. I am sold. I can't believe any filter except the F.A.S.S. 2000/2500 deisel bypass filter could remove the stuff I saw in the one I cut open. It was so fine it felt like anti-seize, but it was metal. That system is like $2500. I feel the filter-mag has to be great for the engine- the particles it attracts are the ones that cause the most wear on the engine. Check it out.

Just curious...

Is it possible for the filter mag to collect all the small particles into a larger one, that could dislodge and damage the engine?

No, if they become dislodged they will just pass through and get "recaptured" next time through. Google Filter-Mag.com and check em out.

at most of the office supply stores
you can buy a package of
" magnetic thumbtacks"
that have extremely strong
rare earth magnets in them

most of the contaminants in lube oil
now is soot, especially with increased use of EGR,
not metallic particles
