Default Egt

Does anyone know the usual EGT for an 04 Ram Hemi. I am considering a gauge pod and was thinking of an EGT sensor

There really isn't a "usual" -- the readings are all over the board while driving. The key is you don't ever want to see over 1450F, but then again, there's really nothing you can do on a Ram to make EGTs get too high.

Very few people tune their own trucks and that's the only way you'd ever be able to get away from the factory's very safe tune. Even aftermarket tuners like SuperChips keep it on the tame side for safety.

I'd recommend a transmission temp gauge if you're looking for useful info.

maybe if your gonna have a crazy tune/built motor, or turbo/supercharger but on a NA setup there are lots of other guages that would help out alot better. .

1++ tranny guage

Default thanks.

Thanks for the help. I was thinking of the 3 gauge dash pod from mopar. I was actually thinkg EGT, Trans temp and oil temp. I would get an oil pressure but by the time it starts to drop I am probably in trouble.

I normally run around 7-800 at idle and around 10-11 in normal driving.

Under boost I'll approach 1500.
