took it to the dealership after they quoted me 500 for labor to swap gears out on the front diff....so I jumped all over that.......they got the first cv out with no problem....but the second wouldn't disconnect from the diff after 4 hours of pounding on it he finally got it....but when it came off....it pulled the actual axle out of the housing!!!!!!!!!! wat a flippin' moron....so....maybe day 2 will be better....Im just hoping it's a e clip or something that gave in order for the axle to pop out.......but Im done using this dealership after this......

 

i'm not sure it was a good idea to go to them in the first place. from what i hear aligning gears correctly is a pretty tough job, and you can get in some trouble if you don't know what you're doing.

 

the very modest amount of money to rent this DVD
and the time spent watching it
is a wise investment
before tackling the job yourself
... or even watching it done so that you will be able to spot when someone departs from the right way
