Default Need help! Ram equipment console

I need help. I need to install some emergency equipment in my ram such as a radio, switch box, etc... Anyone have any suggestions on where to mount them? I was looking at some aftermarket consoles, but I cannot find any for my truck. Suggestions and pics would be great... Thanks

2007 Dodge Ram 1500 Quad Cab. Bog Horn Edition. 60/40 bench in front.

Hey Mouser1

Why not just build yourself a console? Unless you really need the center front seat I'd replace it with a custom enclosure (sounds better than "Box") I'm thinking of building and replacing my whole center seat fron the bottom of the center dash to all the way to the back seat with a sub enclosure set up. That way I can keep my rear underseat storage and all. I'll rig up a padded cover for the few times it needs to be a seat and I'll mount he folding seat back so it still folds up and down. I mean how many times have you really used the front center seat? I've used mine maybe 5 times in the 3 years I've owned my truck. Plus with the kid grown, graduated and never wanting to go with the "old Folks" it's just me and my wife in the truck. There isn't to much out there other wise unless you have a shop custom up one for you.

Stay cool

you might look over what other Ram owners have done with communications and Ham radio equipment at this link:

I would also suggest looking over Gall's

good luck

I to ran in to the same problem, in speaking with my intsall guy we decided thet a wedge console (the one like a triangle) would be the best bet. All in the center easy to grab and will look good too. As for switches Im going with the mini toggle switches in the dash next to the switch for the rear slider. We have not started mine yet but when we do I will work on geting pictures up for ya.
