I just looked through the overhaul manual for the 03's. I didn't see any EGR valve on the 5.7

yeah I looked on the engine and didnt see an egr valve as well. I went to advanced auto today and had the battery and alternator checked to make sure they are ok, and they checked out as ok. I also have a CEL with a p0138 so im going to investigate that as well.

anyone? I replaced the rear 02 sensor today, and put a new battery into it(163K miles on original). Still have a slight miss or I guess you could call it rough intermitent idle at 500-500 rpms.

Have you cleaned particularly the throttle body, and air fliter plus inlet pipe work?
That can cause a "rough" idle??
Al.
