Default Will 16" rims clear brakes? 06 hemi qc

Well Dad liked my 05 hemi qc enough he went out and got one for himself. I've got 305/55/20 all terrains on my truck so ready for winter, mud, etc.

His 06 has the stock 20s with about 1/2 tread on them. fine for summer, but wants something better for winter/fall hunting etc.

Found a set of 16s (from 00 1500) with 285/75/16s on them all terrains, good shape, good price. But about 60 miles away.

Want to make sure they'll fit, clear brakes, etc. before we make the trip.

Thanks

Joe

Best of my knowledge, they will not clear the brakes. 17's are clearenced for em but not the 16's. I have a set of stock aluminum 17's with 800 miles on em id sell.

16's will not fit. Some aftermarket 17's also have clearance problems.

If you grind down your rear caliper you can get 16's to work. A guy in Canada di for his drag tires. LOL

Thanks, that's what i figured. Didn't see any with them and the brakes are decent sized.

Will probably keep looking for a set of 17s then, but locally. Trying to keep the price down.
