They are a very busy hot rod/race shop. The best way to contact them is to send an E-mail to sales@mvperformance.com ATTN: Lisa-Dodge hood.

Include your return phone # and they will call you back along with replying to your E-mail with answers to any questions you have.

Did you purchase the hood that you have? Because right now I don't want to contact them, and make them seem that I have some right now interest in purchasing a hood. I would love to get one now, but I have other things that I want to get, and some things that have higher priorities than a hood unfortunately. I want to just put money aside as I get little things, like Christmas and birthday money, then maybe like $50 from each paycheck towards that, so as to spend in a smarter fashion. So it'll probably be a year or maybe more than that before I would purchase one.

Alright, now you are scaring me on that. Is the 7k what it cost, or is it from one of those "you know how things happen" that yours is pretty well a special case on the cost portion of it? Because if it costs that much, forget that hood. That's half of what my truck is worth. lol

I am the person that paid the money to have the hood put in production.

I had been given info that it would only be a couple g's and hired the best oem composit MFG's to get it done and send me the bill. When I totaled everything it came to 7K+, Ouch!

I guess the only bright side is to be able to laugh about it.

The cost, now that the hood is in production is only around 600.00 for a first class hood.

I've heard some less than favorable reviews of composite hoods that don't fit exactly right and take a considerable amount of prep work ($$$) to be ready to paint. With the investment you made and the best MFG's working on it, do you know if these come with the same problems. Does the $600 include paint?

What's up with the "quotations"? Did you just run your mouse over that and copy/paste instead of using the quote button?

Any hood unless it's metal and even then, you will need some kind of prep work. There's no such thing as paintable right outta the box. I really doubt that $600 is including paint. When i got quotes for my mustang hood, body shops wanted $550-$600 just for paint not including prep! I just want to add.....YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR with hoods.
I'm not saying there won't be any prep work, but it will be considerably less and that means your hood will have fewer problems down the road.
