Default What makes a "Big Horn"???

Hi all!
I just purchased a used 08 Ram 1500, 5.7L, Big Horn 4x2. My question, that the dealer couldn't answer, is what additions make it a "Big Horn" other than the badges? It's used, so the dealer couldn't provide me with a build sheet. That really sucks, because I would love to know what type of options/diff/etc it came with. Can anyone help me out? Thanks.

Tow package(hitch), and 20 inch wheels, and tires. Good purchase, I just got a '08 Ram qc 2wd, big horn, hemi.

Yeah, I just picked up an '08 4.7L Quad Cab Big Horn, the 20" wheels make a HUGE difference in the look of the truck. I don't tow much of anything, but it's nice to know it's already there for future possibilities. Really like it thus far.

Unhappy NO tow hitch!!

Mine doesn't have a tow hitch, only an attachment to the frame that sits underneath the bumper. You can pull out a little cap, install a standard ball, and tow up to 5,000 lbs (per the dealer).

Yea, you have the reciever hitch, attachment, and ball sold seperately. The only thing I wish they added, was a box for trailer brakes.

Default Build Sheet

Here's the page on the Dodge web site that you can fill in and get a build sheet. Put "Requesting Build Sheet" in the Briefly Describe box at the top.

Took them about 24 hours and they emailed it back...

The Big Horn package should be listed on your window sticker. It was on mine.

Did you not buy it from a Dodge/Chrysler dealer? If you did they should of known what makes a Big horn and they should have been able to give you a build sheet. If it was not a dodge dealer, go to a dodge dealer and ask a parts/service person to get you a build sheet. Or you can find parts/service here on dodge forum, and PM him with your VIN #.

That's crazy that the dealer wouldn't know.
