One of my big reason to step up to a 3/4 ton over a 1/2 ton is the size of the huge brakes, frame difference and no MDS. Its a tank. All of the big 3 neutered all their 1/2 tons so they drive like a SUV now. Now no 1/2 ton can plow snow. Even if you dont live in a snow state, it should bother you why a pick-up cant plow snow??

My buddy has the GM 1500HD and I have the MegaCab and also have the HD F150 for my work... The MegaCab rules, F150 then the 1500HD. The GM is just plain under powered and the Ford is just that, a Ford.... I aslo have a '72 Chevy Heavy Half and all that had stock was better brakes and driveline... it does have quite a bit more now though...
