I noticed my truck was idling quieter it was at 600 rpms power didn't seem right and now the cruise doesn't work turn it on then press set and it shuts off,it got p585 and p2161 codes,weird thing is I have never seen those codes anywhere I have looked.

Had the p2161 pop up a few times on mine. It happened on mine after I had new tires put on. The fix (or at least what cleared it for me) was to 1. reset the tire size on my programer (the tire size went up about half an inch) and 2. I got my brakes done as they needed to be replaced. The combo between the 2 got rid of the code and I haven't seen it since. I think it had more to do with getting the brakes done than anything though... Not sure if that helps any but thats what did it for me

 

No it helps cause I did start hearing the brake tabs on the shoes making noise front I think,now what about the 585 code is that an electronic problem with the cruise control?
