I'm with bolang, good bet the jarring of the impact simply broke the bulb. I've got 4 wheel ABS on my truck and I've noticed that they'll still lock under heavy braking sometimes, no rhyme or reason to it.

I agree about the bulb. Same thing happened in my 72 Charger. Hit so hard it broke the bulb inside the blinker, but not the lens.

I have the 4wheel ABS on my truck, and like someone stated earlier, if you hit the brakes hard enough and fast enough they do lock up regardless of the abs system.

i think that's a good thing. if you're applying the brakes hard enough that the ABS is constantly trying to reroute pressure, it'll never stop.

remember ABS can only go on or off the brakes, not modulate how much pressure on each corner. so if it's all on and locking or all off, i pick lock.

i had the same situation happen to me, one night i was going up a hill and the road was wet and the car in front of me was going really slow but i didnt think anything of it. so i stay of the gas and a mid size deer runs across the road, so i slam the brakes, lock the tires and turn into the other lane to try and avoid it and just clipped the rear end of it. i cracked the horizontal crosshair peice on the grille, thankfully nothing else happened and the deer ran off.
