Default Need help with a motor swap please

i have a 02 dodge ram with the 4.7 i found a guy that has a 4.7 out of a 01 dodge dakota will this work??? and i would do a hemi swap but i dont have the money to do that at this time. thank you for your help

is your old one for sale, and where are you located?

well i bought the truck with the motor knocking so thats whats wrong with the motor and after i get the other motor put in id be happy to sell it to whoever wants it just make an offer and im in tulsa,ok

The engine itself should be the same. The upper intake plenum and accessories maybe different but can be swapped out no problem. Also, the 01's had a diff crank sensor than the 02's 16vs 32, but that should be much of a concern. not sure what te rams had in 02? Also, the 5.7's are the same price as the 4.7's. Look for the new 300hp version! (Don't know if you can use it though).

well I found a 4.7 and trans for 800 and they only have 13000 miles on them if I hadn't found that motor for that price then I couldn't afford to put any motor in LOL
