Default problem starting...

I have a 2003 dodge ram with around 65,000 miles on it and today when I was out it wouldnt start. I would hold the key trying to start it and eventually it would start.... can anyone tell me why it would be starting delayed?

Do you hear the starter trying to crank? Do you hear anything at all? Have your charging system and battery checked, and if that is ok, check the starter.
