i have 285s on 17s with no problem rubbing. not on a full turn or on the suspension. it is very close though. no question go with the bigger, the 265s do look small on our trucks. actually the 285s look a little too small for our trucks i think. anyway, heres one of mine.

i have 285's and there is no problem at all with rubbing issues at full crank

I have 265's but they came on it and i cannot wait till i have the money to get some 285's
