Smile Back Seat Seat Belts

I am new to this forum just bought a 2006 ram 1500 Big Horn a little while ago. I switched over to dodge from ford.

So far I am very happy with the truck. I have only but a little over a 1,000 miles on it since I have owned it.

The other day I had 5 passengers in the truck and all 3 of the back seat passengers complained that the seat belts constantly lock up. This is happening even at a dead stop. Any Ideas what the problem is?

After looking further into this it seems that all 3 of them were engaging the ALR mode (Automatic Locking Retractors Mode). I have not had a chance to actually verify this on my truck but I will after work

That sounds right to me. If you pull the seatbelts all the way out then let them in, it engages it. It's made for when you install car seats so they don't loosen up.

Verified that the ALR was the problem after work yesterday. (In other words operator error.)
