New Dodge Ram Intake!
True Flow Makes Bigger Even Better!
Xtreme Duty Intake for 2009 Dodge Ram Hemi 5.7L
True Flow immediately embarked upon our “deconstructing Hemi” project. We started out by ditching the small and utilitarian-looking air box quietly resting on top of the throttle body and removed the restrictive muffler and resonator combo inside the stock intake tubing. Left with a blank canvas, we decided that beauty doesn’t always have to be skin deep either, but more on that later.
So what did the True Flow folks come up with, you ask? After extensive research on a flow bench, we determined our proprietary “Inverted Air Flow Technology™” coupled with our unique foam air filter was just what the 2009 Dodge Ram Hemi engine ordered. This revolutionary process essentially reverses the air flow from the inside-out of the filter and allows for a nearly 50% increase in air flow and an astonishing gain of up to 16 horsepower and 21 lb.-ft of torque at optimum RPM’s.
Remember that quiet and demure-looking air box? True Flow just couldn’t leave the styling alone either. We started by replacing the stock components with sleek, non-restrictive tubing, silicone couplers, and a free-flowing powder-coated aluminum canister housing the high-filtration foam filter. Combining the brains with this beauty impressed even us! The XDI Air Intake by True Flow for the 2009 Dodge Ram Hemi 5.7L V8 is an achievement that we are pleased to bring to the Hemi Truck enthusiast.
Oh! – and one last thing…We were quite surprised when we stepped on the gas for the first time with the XDI system installed. We could actually hear the sound of performance rumbling from all 390 ponies under the hood! True Flow’s XDI air intake system rivaled the sound of any aftermarket exhaust and offered up a nice throaty tone to match the 09 Ram’s new styling and performance!

I want air flowing into the air filter... not out of it. This sounds like snake oil

If you look at the intake and the filter you will see that the air is flowing directly in and out into your engine. www.trueflow.com Most intakes are designed so the air is flowing around your filter and not into the filter.

Hey all looking at the TRUE Flow site and for those of you ever had any experiance with The Military or with a military HUMMER/HMMWV (High Mobility Multi-Purposed Wheeled Vehicle). These look like the Air intake/Filter set up on the HUMMER. Not sure if they work any better, but it's obviously borrowing from design that has been around for a while. They do look pretty cool too
