From what I have read on here, the hat is restrictive as well. Here is the one that I have coming today. I bought it on ebay for $47 shipped or so. If it sucks real bad, then I am not out much cash......
On the other hand, it is aluminum and appears to be well made from the pics. Also, they have sold a boat load of them on there and the comments I read about the product were all great, so we'll see.

As you can see the picture shows it connected to the hat, but I think there is enough pipe there to go directly to the throttle body and have the filter sit kind of close to where the stock filter box is. I don't necessarily want the filter too far down in the fenderwell because of water getting up in there.

I will post some pics later today when I get it.

Thumbs up

TexasRam01, What material did you use to make your intake? Looks like pvc, yet shines like metal. Where did you get it? I would like to try my hand at making one for my truck. I don't mind parting with money to purchase one if I have extra cash, but making one myself brings more satisfaction!

Got it all at O'reillys. It is all plastic tubing, like K&N. Filters and everything came from O'reillys. Like I said, wasnt looking for much performance out of it, just thought it would look cool, had some time and a little extra money layin around so what the hell.... and it was a 3" pipe I believe.
