ethanol? 93 octane 10% or less ethanol..
I would have to agree that a mild HP gain can be had, as I used to run a blend of E85 and 87 Gas in my Dodge Neon. I could definitely notice an improvement in throttle response and improved acceleration on the highway, but it still killed my gas mileage.
AMEN to that I notice a big difference with Fast tract gas which has 10% ethanol and regular mobil gas.... I get about 40 miles more a tank at mobil, and my trucks sounds and runs alot better....
I have a suspicion that even at the E10 stations the higher octane fuels (89 and 91) are still real gas. The 7-11s around here sell E10, and I notice my truck doesn't have the power or mpg with their 87 as it does with the 87 from the pure gas stations. But when I put 89 in at 7-11, my power stays the same and so does the mileage as the pure gas stations.

i haven't been able to find a non e10 station anywhere around my area. anyone in lancaster pa that knows of one please tell me. I can't stand ethanol. lower btu ratings, hydrophillic substance taht attracts water. pretty sure i got a bad set of it like three weeks ago in the truck. mileage took a dive 8 mpg on that tank. threw a CEL for rough idle as well. filled my baby up with 93 octane and ran fine after that.
