Default seriously annoying clicking

Alright i bought my truck about 3 weeks ago and it sounded fine. Now i have a clicking noise and my dad who works for dodge said it was the intake valves and there is no way to fix it. I was wanting to know if anyone has had this problem with the HEMI before and also if they were able to get rid of it. He said they can replace them but it is 50/50 if it will work. Please help me out on this one.

The infamous Hemi Tick is my guess. Do a search of it on these boards.

Chrysler has known for some time how to correct
"Hemi tick"
but so many engines and $ are involved
that they are afraid of issuing a recall or TSB.

They have a solution that your dealership can find
by checking their
"Star Online" computer data base
for solution number K59926684 or K21050787

The ticking problem is that the valve guide internal diameters are too big,
and the solution involves putting in new valves with oversize stems.

If you are still under warranty
Chrysler will pay for this,
but if you are out of warranty
it is a very expensive repair.
========

with the current Chrysler troubles
buying and storing away
a set of these oversized valves & the corrected spring design
plus a set of exhaust manifold studs
(known to break, especially back ones)
is not a bad idea
if you intend to keep your 2003-2005 Hemi a long time
