Leveling a 2008 QC 2WD
#3
I just installed Belltech lowering shackles on my 06 1500 QC 2WD. They worked great.
I ended up with about 1.25" of drop in the rear, which brought the back to just above level. A 2" drop might look better, but this is a fair compromise since I tow a 5200 lb trailer occasionally.
Next step is new shocks. I've been all over the map on brand, but now leaning toward Bilsteins, as although I want better handling, I don't want to sacrifice the great ride provided by the 1500 IFS.
BTW... If anyone is interested, Tire Rack has Avon 275/60R/20's on sale for $116 each. The reviews look good, and the UTQG is 460, so should wear well.
