So am I the only one pissed off...
LOL, yup your right, I upgraded to the Mega Cap and a bigger engine to make my track days easier. More room in back for all my gear and bigger engine to haul more bikes. She is a treat compared to the 1500 2 door, stick shift I had before. I figure she has enough bells and whistles to last me until I stop riding on the track lol. I do not like the look of the new Rams anyway, may as well keep what I have.
about a month ago, my friend went to a dodge dealership in Ontario...Ram 2500, 4wd, Navigation, Megacab, Hemi 5.7L, TRX4 package...He could have got it out the door for $27000
I got my QC 1500 4wd for under $20000 canadian$s brand new but with taxes it came out to be $22500 a few months ago....
when dodge really wants to clear their inventory, they mark their prices LLLOOOWWW

Back in 06 this truck was 37 grand cdn, befor gst, I not mad, Now you can get a loaded up quad cab 08 1500 Ram in Calgary for arround 23 grand, depending on how you play the game..
I'm allmost paid up, so for now I can;t care..
I got lucky. I purchased mine about 2 months ago. 05, 4.7, quad cab, 40k miles, 20" wheels and the suggested KBB price is 15,335. I paid 14,000. The trade in value is 10,500 but I just got it and love it so there is no way I'm trading it in any time soon.
It's all about the dealership you go to. They control the pricing. It just so happens I have a good relationship with this one as I've purchased 3 trucks from them.

Wjen I bought my truck new in 05', it only had 23 miles on it, and I paid something around $25k for it out the door, right now my truck is worth between $8k-$9k, I could go out and buy 3 trucks for the price I paid for one, and quad cabs too, not a regular cab. Im not really mad about it though, trucks in general have a crap resale value and I knew this when I bought it then. I went to probably 5 different dealers in my area and surrounding areas and it was the cheapest. I was also in a bind as my old truck was on its last leg (and I am really pissed about that more than anything you can possibly imagine but that story doesn't belong in this section) and I needed a new truck.
The only ones that really keep any value to them now days are diesels and hard to find classics

It doesn't matter, all in all we've got our moneys worth and then some, but at the same time if I wouldn't have been so hardheaded in getting my truck right then and then, I could have paid 1/2 price just a couple of months ago and I got mine for a little over $24k last year, and that was a deal itself!!! Dang, but $12k for a HEMI, who would have thought!!!
Just bought my truck November 1st. 2008 QC 1500 4x2 brand new. I got it for 19,500, but its a pretty basic model SXT. It was about 21,300 out the door. Not bad. I was at the darn dealership for hours haggling the price ..
