I dunno anyone that would use that for a hitch? The bumper just isn't meant for that and it's just too high for anything. I have never had any problems with mine on any of my trucks. Theifs may get it, but it will set off my alarm. I have it set super sensitive and just went out to see if it would go off when I tried to take it out...YUP. Annoys all the neighbors because the train is just on the other side of those trees and sets it off constantly. Ofcourse I park about 20ft behind the camera shot(signatre pic) I have started using silent alarm at my house. The alarm is set just senstivive enough that if a bird flew over and **** on it, it wouldn't go off....lol

Until you posted that picture up, I thought that I still had mine. So looks like I might have to get one. When I put one on, I'm gonna have to super glue it down or something to keep it from being stolen. I never even knew that there was a piece like that. Besides, who would want a ball up on there? I hate having dented license plates, or the looks of them. Don't even want a trailer hooked up there.

Actually if you look under the bumper it is quite stout, there is a cross bar from each side of the frame that a hitch ball mounts to. It is definately to high though, my Reese hitch actually mounts to that bar its pretty slick. Just thought info could be useful.

I thought you guys were talking about the entire plastic piece. I have a factory mounted hitch so i don't have that cap. I still have the knock-outs still attached.
