Default confession of stupidity

alright, i admit it today i was a total dumb azz. i was going to change my tranny fluid but, for some stupid reason, i wanted to put my truck up on blocks, like concrete blocks, so i went to proceed carefully, and to make a really aggravating story short, i am now the proud owner of a big crease in the sheet metal in front of both of the rear tires, and thats not all, for calling in so quick i got the paint chipped off to the bear metal for free, thats right free.

so, how hard would it be to try to fix this myself can i use a hammer and wood block? sand and repaint? what should i do about the paint? pls, help me not to make another dumb azz mistake.

Ouch.. So you dented your rocker panels? You could get behind there and hammer it out with a block of wood I suppose but it won't look pretty. Best bet is to bring it to a body shop and have them do it. If you start to bang them out, they might charge you more than if you didn't touch them at all. They have specific ways to pull dents and if you re-crease the metal elswhere's it makes it harder for them. If it's only on the bottom, they can probably just paint the bottom and not blend up into the doors, so that wouldn't cost as much. If you did what I think you did, your prob looking at $600 work and your idiocy goes away...lol

While you have them paint your panels, better off having them just paint your whole truck school bus yellow, so then you can ride the short bus and feel at home when your on your way home!....lmfao.....j/k

Along with these suggestions, id also reccomend a small investment of 4 jack stands.
