I never said that it didn't help hold pressure. It's just most people don't know air is made up of mostly nitrogen in the first place. I was just trying to educate people. I didn't say anything about nitrogen not holding air better, but companies over exaggerate all the time. Why are you mad? You guys were the one's saying how much it effects things like rough ride and it's so much denser than air. I was just schooling on how it's not much different. It was origionally used in airplane tires because the amount of heat that they generated when landing would cause the air in the tire to catch fire becase oxygen is combustable at high temps and Nitrogen isn't. My buddy is an airplane tech for Delta and he was explaining everything to me. Also, there's plenty of info on the web if you do some searching. You cannot read the biased reports of Nitrogen companies nor the people that hate those companies.
Nitrogen is just like bottled water that you pay $1 per bottle for even though the water can be had right outta the tap. People who say nitrogen makes so much difference in testimonies is hilarious. It's not noticeable to the average guy, but can help with certain situations like moisture inside the wheel and airplane uses.

I didn't even know people were still falling for the nitrogen hype.

Nitrogen being more beneficial is something Jiffy Lube gets old ladies and 16 year old girls to believe and then charges the crap out of them. All of the research I've done states the benefits are theoretical and only slightly practical.

I"m not getting mad at all For the 10 bucks that I paid I think its benniffical for me not to have to worry about checking my tire pressure every 2 weeks when the temps are going from 50 to 20 back to 70. A couple of guys on here use it and have not had a psi vary in almost a year. I think thats worth 10 bucks to me.

What is heavier, a pound of feathers or a pound of lead?

No, it really has to do with the size of the molecules. Nitrogen molecules (which make up a little over 70% of air anyway) are larger and more dense. The oxygen molecules are smaller and actually can "leak" through the rubber over a period of time. Also, they "pack" together tighter when cold, so your air pressure will fluctuate greater with the more oxygen molecules that are in your tires.
I don't mess with the nitrogen myself, but because I have air bags on the truck and I change tire pressure at times for "play", I carry a compressor in my toolbox at all times anyway, so it's no big deal for me to adjust air pressure as needed.
There is however, although a small one in my opinion, a benefit to airing up with pure nitrogen.
