Talking New truck, a few questions

Just got an 08 trx off road quad cab hemi and have a couple of questions that I can't find answers to:-

Wiring spotlights - I do not have the relay box shown in many posts, I read one reference to the later trucks being 'solid state', how should I tap the power to switch my relay ? I cannot use the headlight connector as the high beam comes on at half power with daytime running lights (I think if it's like my old Dakota).

TRX - The manual says something about putting in a fuse to activate the TRX off road package, what the hell does this mean, if a fuse can lift my truck and throw on some bigger diff guards that would be great, but I doubt it.

Tow Haul vs OD off - they don't seem any different, the manual suggests the tow haul will allow 4th gear to engage but it is no different to OD off, any ideas?

All suggestions greatly appreciated.

Cheers

Not sure about the first two but tow/haul allows 4th (takes awhile to get into it), raises part throttle shift points, holds gears longer and downshifts if you accelerate with your foot off the throttle (downhill or whatever). O/D off shuts off 4th and 5th...seems to have the same shift points but doesn't seem to downshift like tow/haul.

Well I don't think it's working then, light throttle shift points and torque converter lock up are the same and it doesn't down shift for engine braking.

I know this post was awhile ago but I am still wondering the same thing. What does the fuse for the TRX offroad package mean? Anyone? As well I noticed the tow/haul button vs. overdrive off is the same for me. It must be normal but it will shift up to about 2500 rpm when pressed once, which is 3rd gear I guess, because it is the same engine speed for O/D off. Where did 4th go???
