Default purchase just the muffler??

I want to get a new exhaust but just want to purchase the muffler because this would be so much cheaper then the whole exhaust system.

Does Corsa only sell the system or can you by just the muffler alone? Or should I go with Magnaflow.

Does anyone know what Magnaflow muffler I would need?

I have a 2008 Ram 1500 w/Hemi, QC.

Thanks

there was research done, i cant remember the site, it's an extremely technical article, but with their tests thrush and flowmaster had the worst flow rate, while dynomax (who makes thrush) and cyclone had the highest, remember high velocity good, back pressure bad.

I am looking for something that will provide me with max performance. I already have a Superchips 3815 and a K&N CAI.

But I also like to not have Drone in the cab, which is where the Corsa exhaust comes into play.

The factory catback piping is pretty decent anyway with it being 3" and stainless. I'm sure you could find a used corsa muffler but I dunno if they sell just the muffler new.

If you stick with the stock setup you'll want a SI/SO magnaflow...the shorter the length the louder it will be. I have a 18" magnaflow with the stock pipes and rear resonator removed...it sounds great to me but could be too quiet for some.

I am getting the Magnaflow muffler installed today after work and it appears to be a good deal. Only $150 for the muffler and install and for $35 more I will install the Chrome tip.

Does anyone keep their old muffler with them? I was thinking about doing this just in case something happens and I can just get the old one put back in. Or is this a dumb idea and should let them keep it?
