Default Front Drive Shaft Question
I have a 2004 Ram 1500. My question is, should the front drive shaft spin free in 2wd? Should I be able to reach under the truck and spin the front drive shaft by hand when the truck is in 2wd and sitting in park? I have done a search on the topic and I keep reading mixed results. Thanks

No, it should not spin on "your" truck.
Some trucks have manual hubs, those shafts will spin if the hubs are unlocked.
