Default L7 in QC?

Hey all,

Just wondering if anyone has a Kicker L5 or a Kicker L7 under the rear seats of their QC Ram. I've been interested in doing this since I have recently purchased a box for 2 10's that is designed to take up the storage space under the rear seats, after a great deal of research, I decided on the POLK Momo MM2104 subwoofers. I chose those subs due to the fact that I could not find a bad consumer review on them, nor do they require alot of airspace to function. NOW, they are a good accent to the system no doubt, however, in the occasions that I really want a nice Pounding system, its just not there.. yeah it gets loud.. but not as loud as I would like. I've been a big Kicker follower and have had many L7's always been impressed. I would like to see if it is possible to get a 10, or even a 12" L7 under those seats. Any help would be great. Or even suggestions for other subs that have impressed you all. I'll try to get pics of my setup on here tomorrow, I would be happy for someone to take the previous setup off my hands, or if anyone happens to have an L7 and would like to sell it, lemme know!

Thanks,

James

check out my box, make a search for My WHole System BUildup. But to tell you the truth I went from a dual 12" ported box with two Alpine type r's and 1000rms to two 10" alpine type r's in a sealed under the seats. No matter what subs you get, it will never be insane bass under the seats. My ported box was so loud it would rattle the windows on my friends car beside mine, he could feel the bass in his car. I think I have a picture of my old setup under my gallery. Id just leave the subs you have in there. Plus I heard the square kickers are loud and all but have no sound quality what so ever.

almost any kicker sub is just loud. no sq at all. i like kicker but that's just the truth. sorry buddy but no way are you gonna fit a 12" or a 10 for that matter l7 or l5 under the rear seat. there isn't hardly enough depth to fit that sub nor is there enough airspace for it to function properly. if you do what kx did and just set the box on the seat then yes but no chance having it under.

Hey man, i've got 2 12'' kicker comps under my seats. Me being just a teenager just wanted some thump. I wasn't going for the best sound quality, just a good amount of bass. Had i chosen my subs, they may not have been my 1st choice, I just took the subs and amp off our boat and use those. But i mean I ordered a cheap ole box on ebay for about $100 shipped, it's not ported or anything. It's a pretty good set up for what I paid. The subs sound pretty dang good inside the cab, outside they don't sound that great but normally you're inside the cab obviously. Kicker has always been a good brand and I think the R7 would be a great sub as long as you got it hooked up to an amp. Hope this helps.
