V6 Ram Performance
Be glad you don't have the Hemi getting 13 mpg, using 7 quarts of oil, 16 spark plugs instead of 6 etc.
My thing was I wasn't towing anything really heavy so I didn't need the Hemi or even the 4.7L. I used to sell Dodge trucks so I drove all of them and I can tell you that the SAME model with the 3.7 and 4.7 there isn't any noticeable difference in driving them.

except for the exhaut sound. No replacement for displacement.
Lets see, bringing back this dead horse . . .
I have the Liberty Intake keeping the filter box, not the hat, no difference.
I had the Flowmasters, made the truck feel slower, just louder but slow.
Added 20" inch stock ram rims, lost about 4-5 mpg
Changed the plugs to champion ****es, feels rough, should have stayed with the NGK as recomended.
Dont know what else to do, since I have not modded the truck in 2 years. Maybe wider throttle body, change the spark plugs (to WHAT?), install a fan (lose more mpg), lose the tires, etc, etc.
Yes gears for sure. I am waiting to hit 70k to do some real damage. Dont want to loose the warranty just yet. efan, dont know. Headers, maybe, if the wife allows, but also loose the cat.

I think NGK's are the OEM plug on the 3.7 so I would stick w/ them. I went with the NGK iridiums and it had no negative effect on my gas mileage, plus they will last longer.
Installing an e-fan is really the best way to gain mpg, I gained 1.5-2 mpg from mine and I've had it on there awhile now. You can go the junkyard route or pick up a flex-a-lite kit w/ everything you need.
