Something looks different in the mounting from my 2007. The bars mounting on mine is between the frame face and the bumper mounting plate. Hear is the picture of mine.

 

yeah mine came with plates that bolted to the existing bolts on the frame, and gave a flat face to bolt the tow hooks to

 

Well good luck, the longer trucks usually have some problems in some of the tight corners.....but do better on the climbs and descents....hope you paint comes out intact, mine never did even with the Jeep, but those level 3 trails are just barley 6 foot wide and are all off camber

Id love to be able to take my truck off road more but ive put too much money into the front end as it is. it really is stupid that all of the ram models dont have hooks.
