Default Installing 4.56 gears/Detriot TT , But where?

hey all,

I am going to purchase 4.56 gears and the Detroit TT for my 2008 Dodge Ram 1500, w/hemi, But how do I find a "GOOD" place to intall them? What sort of questions or things should I look for?

I live in the Phoenix Arizona area.

Any advise or know of any places in that area?

Thanks

When I lived I GOODYEAR I would drive out to LOPERS to have them do all the performance work I was not capable of doing myself. They are downtown Phoenix area... Not the cheapest place in town... Im not sure if they know the 9.25 rear or not...

I got the same gears and a Detroit Tru Trac insatlled at 4wheelparts. Not sure if there is one in your area. Couldn't be happier! If you don't have a 4 wheel parts near you try and find a shop that specializes in front and/or rear ends. some auto shops send them out to have diff work done, so maybe you can ask a local shop where they send them??

I had mine done at their Orlando, Fl. location. Excellent, professional job. Have never had a problem. Make sure you work in a check up and fluid change at 500 miles included with the price of the install.

Thanks for the info, I called this place up and they gave me a quote of $1,500 and this is with 4.56 Precision Gears and Detriot Tru Track with a 1 year warrenty. I can purchase an additional 3 year/36,000 mile warrenty for $200.

The guy told me that If I brought in my own gears/DTT I would not get the full 1 year warrenty and only 90 days and that I could not purchase the 3 year warrenty?

I am going to go with the shops parts since I would get the warrenty work with it.

Do you think it's worth getting the 3 year/36,000 warrenty for $200 more bucks for a total of $1,700 for buying/installing the gears/DTT??

Thanks

I would spend the $200 for the extra warranty.

Dodgeram2577, If they still carry Genuine Gears at 4 Wheel Parts, they have a lifetime warranty, although the Precisions have a very good reputation...

Detroit true trac is a replacement limited slip unit for the rear end.
