i have a 4.7 2004 ram at first i had a nice takeoff manually shifting on automatic with tow haul on.
now it got slower..but anyways

In my QUAD CAB RAM 4.7L I was running 9.91's with basic bolt on's + H/O cams, 4.56 gears, 2800 stall & Superchips. STOCK HEMI QUAD CABS run 10.2's and 10.3's all day long.

TODAY I run 9.49's N/A (Naturally Aspirated)... which is MODIFIED SINGLE CAB HEMI territory!

So you can build your 4.7L to beat a HEMI... And I can help you accomplish that goal!

I will admit with BASIC bolt on's/modifications to keep your racing from a Light/DEAD STOP.... the longer the race, the stronger they are... they will real you in on top end. This means they will likely beat you on the HIGHWAY unless your heavily modified. So as long as you run them 1/8 to 1/4 MILE from a dead stop and let off before they run you down... they will never know unless you tell them. But with the right mods you should be able to take a fairly stock HEMI from LIGHT to LIGHT...
