I have a check engine light on, checked it, it says PO406. What do I need to buy?

Just replaced my EGR valve this past Friday. AutoZone had one for me for $39.99 with a 2 year warranty. Install was super easy and I couldn't believe the difference it made in gas mileage. I averaged 19.8 mpg on a trip up to Indianapolis and back, and that was running about 75 mph on the highway. Pretty impressive for a truck.

Glad you got it fixed....but next time i would see how much work is involved before dropping the money unless you needed it right now. It's a $40.00 part at a parts store, two bolts, and about 10 mintues to change one out.

which is probably the exact same part that you can get for $40.
