While surfing another dodge forum site, one member mentioned swapping out their 4.7 air intake with an HO intake from a Cherokee? Anyone know anything about this and if so, can we do this on the 3.7? I have an 05 Ram and would like to know what HO intake I would have to scavenge for.

 

did the site say if the HO intake would make anything better, cause i read that the K&N one makes some good ol noise

 

No. The thread simply asked if the intake would attatch with no problems. I was wondering the same thing. However I did wonder if more than the intake was involved. I wonder if the guy was referring to the throtle body? I found the thread at *********.com.

 

i'm actually not sure. but i wouldn't put it past me...because people here with our 3.7's our putting jeep liberty intakes on their engine and all seems well.

 

Does the liberty intake increase performance?

 

umm...i dunno. i forgot who was gonna sell me one off of here, but it supposedly does - but to the same degree that a cold air intake does. so, you decipher that. know what i mean?

edit: but the liberty intake does in fact look badass...i think it comes stock with like a black matte coat. it says 3.7 liter on it...it coems diredctly off the resonator and goes straigh toward wheel well...and at the end it has on of those cool surrounding boxes...ugh...lemme find a picture
